I. Introductory provisions

  1. These General Terms and Conditions are an integral part of the Application for Training Courses in Financial Literacy of the EFC Center for Financial Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Application") and govern the relationship between the Training Provider and the student.
  2. The training provider is (hereinafter referred to as the "Provider"):

The Provider provides financial literacy training services and has the personnel and material capacities to provide financial literacy training (hereinafter referred to as "Educational Services").

3. The student is interested in providing educational services for himself and cannot be replaced by another person during the period of the course. nemôže byť nahradený inou osobou.

II. Characteristics of the educational service

  1. Educational service means the financial literacy training course of the "EFC Financial Education Center" (hereinafter referred to as "study"). The goal of the EFC Center for Financial Education is to provide the Student with a practical understanding of the principles of the worlds of money, finance, banking, insurance, investing, business, and the global and national economies.
  2. Financial literacy courses shall take place:
    • online via Zoom or MS Teams platforms
    • in full-time form on the premises of the Center for Financial Education at the address KRAJSKÉ OSVETOVÉ STREDISKO V NITRE ,. Fatranská 3, 949 01 Nitra, Slovakia.
    • in full-time form, directly at the primary or secondary school of a group of students who order a financial literacy course, on the basis of a prior agreement with the management (principal or deputy principal) of the school

III. Rights and obligations of the Provider and the Student

  1. The Provider undertakes, through its lecturers, to provide the Student with vocational training throughout the duration of the educational program. The Provider is obliged to provide for each Student all study material, the price of which is included in the price of the course.
  2. In the event of unforeseen circumstances on the part of the Provider, resp. its contractual lecturers or due to force majeure circumstances (eg incapacity of the lecturer, public holiday, bad weather, etc.), as a result of which it will not be possible to take any of the lessons, the Provider undertakes to immediately inform the Student about these facts and proposed measures. . The provider has the right to change the content and training schedule of individual modules.
  3. The Provider has the right to transfer its rights and obligations arising from the General Terms and Conditions to a third party (hereinafter referred to as the "Acquirer"), but must ensure the fulfillment of its obligations by the Acquirer as if it fulfilled these obligations itself. In such a case, the Purchaser is also entitled to fulfill the obligations arising from the General Terms and Conditions through third parties (for example through the Provider), but he is liable to the Student as if he had fulfilled these obligations himself.
  4. The student undertakes to observe his / her participation in the teaching so that the teaching hours are not missed without serious reasons. The student is not entitled to any compensation for missed hours in the form of a discount on the study price or a refund of an aliquot of the study price for the missed hours.

IV. School fees and conditions

  1. The amount of the fee for completing the financial literacy course from the EFC Center for Financial Education is governed by the valid price list published on the website www.efc-skola.sk as of the date of ordering the course.

Group, sibling discount

  1. Students can apply for a group or sibling discount on a financial literacy course. The discount is always provided according to the current offer and may vary in time (even its amount). 
  2. The condition for obtaining a sibling discount is the creation of an order for courses for at least two siblings on the same day. However, siblings do not have to be enrolled in the same financial literacy course.

  4. Students are always entitled to a group or sibling discount when they sign up for a course.
  5. Discounts do not apply to already discounted rates and at the same time sibling and group discount cannot be combined with each other. 
  6. The proof of purchase is issued in the name of the student or parent by default. In order to issue an invoice to a legal entity, it is necessary to inform about it in the note when creating the order.

V. Conditions for termination of the course

  1. The relationship between the Provider and the Student ends upon the completion of the course and the payment of the full price for the course. It is possible to terminate the course before the standard completion based on:
    • written agreement concluded between the Provider and the Student,
    • unilateral termination of the study by the Student,
    • resignation of the Student under the conditions agreed in these General Terms and Conditions.

Unilateral termination of the study by the student

  1. The student is entitled to unilaterally terminate the study on the basis of his / her written notification addressed to the Provider (hereinafter referred to as the “notification”). The date of delivery of the Student's notification to the Provider is decisive for determining the date of completion of studies and obligations to the Provider (the fact whether the Student participated in the teaching is not relevant for the assessment of completion of studies and obligations to the Provider). In this case, the study is completed on the day on which the notification was delivered to the Provider.
  2. Upon unilateral termination of the study, the student is not entitled to a refund of the fee for completing the training course in financial literacy.

Student's resignation 

  1. The student is entitled to withdraw from the study if the Provider loses the right to provide the services specified in the General Terms and Conditions.
  2. In case of withdrawal from the study, the Provider will not claim, resp. will return to the Student an aliquot amount of the study price from the date of completion of the study until the date of proper completion of the study under the same conditions as in the case of unilateral termination of the study by the Student.

VI. Return policy

  1. Online course: In case of customer dissatisfaction with the online course, the customer has the right to withdraw from the course within 14 days of purchase, based on a written complaint, and thus receive the full amount for the course back.
  2. Attendance course: In case of customer dissatisfaction with on-site training for justified reasons such as Insufficient training of the instructor, unsuitable premises, unsatisfactory technical support, etc., the customer is obliged to notify the given fact immediately, within 2 days of finding out the given fact. In this case, the provider is obliged to ensure that the situation is remedied. If this is not possible, he is obliged to offer the course participant a new date for the same training. Each complaint will be assessed individually, even if it is submitted at a later date or for other reasons.
  3. Payment and entitlement to the course: By paying the amount for the course, the student has the right to participate in the course, whether full-time or online. If the course has not been properly registered or accessed, it is necessary to contact the support of the provider, who is obliged to take care of the correction.

VII. Copyright

  1. The customer is entitled to view and download materials from the portal www.efc-skola.sk only for personal, non-commercial use and provided that all copyright and ownership statements stated in the original materials and all copies of the materials are complied with. The customer is not entitled to change, publicly display, demonstrate, distribute or otherwise use the teaching materials in any way for public or commercial purposes. The use of materials that are published on the website www.efc-skola.sk is prohibited on other websites without prior agreement with the operator. The materials on the www.efc-skola.sk portal are protected by copyright. Unauthorized use of materials from the website www.efc-skola.sk represents a violation of copyright, which has civil as well as criminal consequences.
  2. The customer is not entitled to copy or distribute any materials obtained from the purchase on this site, so he may not use the materials for his enrichment.
  3. The customer is not entitled to provide his login details to a third party.
  4. The customer is not entitled to allow other persons to view his purchased courses.
  5. The Operator reserves the right to block the customer's account in case of violation of any of points 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 of these General Conditions.

VIII. Privacy and Protection of Personal Data and Consent to The Processing of Personal Data

  1. By registering for the training, the participant declares that in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act he / she agrees to the processing of his / her personal data for the purposes necessary for the organization of participation in the training. At the same time, the participant agrees to the processing of data for marketing purposes.
  2. The Client provides personal data to the Intermediary as a controller freely and voluntarily, in accordance with Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter "GDPR") and Act no. 18/2018 Z.z. on the protection of personal data. The Intermediary is entitled to process the Client's personal data in the range of: e-mail address, name and surname, telephone number, address, payment data, data obtained through cookies, data from Facebook.
  3. A detailed description of the scope of personal data processed, the purposes of data processing, access to data, security and the rights of the Customer can be found in the Personal Data Protection Rules section.

IX. Final provisions

  1. The Provider and the Student agree that their relationship based on the above conditions is governed by the provisions of Act no. 513/1991 Coll. Commercial Code as amended.
  2. The invalidity of any provision mentioned in the General Terms and Conditions shall not invalidate any other provisions which are not affected by such grounds for invalidity.
  3. All amendments to the above conditions may be made only on the basis of a written initiative.
